Are you up to the challenge?  You have exactly two hours 120mins.  All you have to do is take 20 photographs.  But here’s the catch:  There must be no duplicate images.  No retakes.  No deletions.  The twenty images must be consecutive frames.  At the end of the challenge, you must show all twenty images.

The challenge isn’t easy.  You have an average of 6 minutes per shot, including getting between the locations you are going to shoot.  The challenge makes you think about each and every frame you take.  Check your settings and your composition before hitting the shutter release.

I am organising this free event at the Anderton Boat Lift near Northwich.  Meet at the picnic tables at the car par park at 12:30pm and bring your sandwiches we will start the challenge afterwards at about 1:15pm.  (There is a small fee for the car park).

Full details about the boat lift can be found on their website: https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/places-to-visit/anderton-boat-lift-visitor-centre

Even though there is no charge for this event please can you book via my website so that I know how many people are going to be coming.

At the end of the challenge we can meet in the cafe at the visitors’ centre for a drink, a snack and a chat.. and so we can look at what we have each photographed.

I have just published a blog post which gives some background to this event “How to improve your photography in less than 2hrs” : https://www.ians-studio.co.uk/2019/08/blog-19-aug-2019-how-to-improve-your-photography-in-less-than-2hrs/
